I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Georgia and pursuing my dissertation research on the important inquiry of how women's bodies become battlegrounds in the gendered political contexts in post-autocratic postcolonial contexts. I also look into how AI-driven political narratives on social media give rise to online and offline mob-violence in the South Asian political context. My research interest lies in Gender-based Violence, Political Sociology, and Feminist Research Methods.

I am a current Member of Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Sisterhood Chapter U and also a former recipient of the prestigious P.E.O International Peace Scholarship (IPS) award from the same organization. I have received Graduate Teaching Assistantship Awards both from Sociology department and the Institute of Women's Studies (IWS). I have taught SOCI 3460 (Political Sociology) in Spring 2026 and WMST 1110 (MulticulturalPerspectives on Women in the United States) in Fall 2026. 

I was formerly associated with the largest Non-profit Organization of BRAC Bangladesh as the Senior Officer (Investigation) at the Sexual Harassment Redressal Committee (SHRC). I am trained in Law and hold a graduate degree in Law from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In my personal life, I love to travel a lot and will always choose the beach over the mountains. I love to cook at home, and am fun to hang out with. I am a crazy plant-lady with more than 100+ indoor and outdoor plants, 2 cats, 13 chickens, and 3 ducks. I also have an aquarium and lost count of the fishes in it. In short: I find comfort and companionship in my furbabies (if you couldn't tell already!).
