Dax Ovid (she/they) is an Assistant Professor in the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. They study discipline-based education research and are supporting the development of the undergraduate program in Biomedical Physiology. Their new research group is called the Collaborative Opportunities for Research in Physiology and Under/Graduate Science (CORPUS) Education Lab, which focuses on who is represented in our curriculum, what we say that is not related to content, and how we can engage science students in cross-cultural humility and advocacy for a more equitable society. Dax completed a postdoc with San Francisco State University and has a PhD in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley.
