During this talk, we will share the results of our study to explore women’s practices of dressing up for football games at UGA and other SEC schools.  Using data collected from interviews with current and former students and photos posted to Instagram, we will discuss this tradition in its current and historical contexts and draw on feminist theories to consider this practice in relationship to the SEC “brand”, campus culture for women and the reinscription of traditional and sexualized femininity.
